Somewhere in all of us there is a burning ember that glows like a wood stove in a dimly lit cabin. Everyone is different in this need to have an inner glow and the fuel that feeds it. I have always tried to be creative in the art I produce in an attempt to keep that inner glow alive. As I have aged the embers seem to have more ash dimming that light. Taking a break from the pressures of everyday life can rekindle that desire. As a friend of mine said, "The Japanese immerse themselves in nature to revive the soul." so off I went to do exactly that. Of course it works even better when shared with friends.
