I am having an art show on May 23 and 24, 2020 at the Ramada Inn, Camrose Alberta.
A portion of proceeds will be donated to the lovingly restored historic Bailey Theatre, the oldest performing arts theatre in Alberta.

Nature's Echo
We create objects in glass and other mediums to bring the beauty of nature into our homes and into our personal space. My art takes these forms,  discarded by previous owners, and gives them new life by releasing them back into nature. Some of my still life works are more than that. They tell the story that there is still life in these objects you just have to look at them with new eyes.

Hunting through antique stores is a huge creative inspiration. Finding an object that starts a new journey is an adrenalin rush. The colour, shape and path that flows from such a discovery drives the visual evolution…that excitement of creating something the world has never seen before because it comes from me.

Primary, secondary, tertiary, intermediates, tints, shades and complimentary colours…these are the musical notes artists use to create a visual song. Our eyes hear these colours and the explosion they create. The art can resonate over and over again as the viewer explores pattern, colour and form.

The Bailey Theatre echoes with the kind of atmosphere one can only get in an old venue, where musicians, actors and performers have been treading the boards for over a hundred years.

hi Darcy - I noticed that you reacted to Jerry's Valentine so I thought I would check your facebook page and saw the announcement of your show. I have the same mindset about still lifes. I used to do photo still lifes. I have been thinking too much in B&W for the last several years but I've returned to colour recently. I've been looking at public galleries in Alberta to exhibit in but any public space would serve.
